Widely-respected family brewer Adnams is making a rare trip to Manchester, especially for Manchester Beer Week.
The Suffolk-based brewery is revered by both traditionalists and modernists thanks to a high-quality beer range that encompasses everything from an archetypal bitter to a saison brewed using the divisive Sorachi Ace hop.
So, we are delighted to welcome both Adnams and head brewer Fergus Fitzgerald to Manchester for a cask takeover at the Piccadilly Tap.
They will be bringing half a dozen casks with them, including classics Southwold Bitter, Broadside and Ghost Ship, as well as the popular Mosaic Pale Ale. There will also be rare casks of their Juniper Saison and Barrel-aged Broadside, which is aged in whisky casks on sour cherries and blended according to the solera method more commonly associated with sherry.
The beers will be on the bar from 4pm and Fergus will host an informal meet the brewer event at 6.30pm, when he also hopes to share some bottles of Adnams' more unusual offerings.
It's your opportunity to share a beer with one of the most accomplished brewers currently working in the UK.
