March 11, 2016 – Manchester Beer Week organisers have confirmed a further three major sponsors ahead of this summer’s inaugural festival.
Following the announcement of JW Lees as headline sponsors, Cloudwater Brew Co, Hawkshead Brewery and Lallemand have been named as supporting partners.
All three bring a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to the festival, and will play a key role in helping to organise some of Manchester Beer Week’s showpiece events.
Event organiser Connor Murphy said: “We have been very selective when securing sponsors for the festival and were keen to work with partners who fully embraced the ethos of Manchester Beer Week.
“This is what we have with our three supporting partners. Each is keen to embrace the spirit of collaboration embodied by the festival and put their effort into providing a fitting celebration for the Manchester beer scene.
“Cloudwater have been one of Manchester’s leading lights over the past year, while Hawkshead have been delivering great beer to Manchester for over 10 years and are keen to support the ever-growing beer scene. Lallemand bring significant expertise in the technical side of brewing and will play their part in a very special brewing initiative that will be showcased during Manchester Beer Week.”
Events for the inaugural Manchester Beer Week will start to be announced over the coming month, with details released via the event website www.mcrbeerweek.co.uk.

The festival was established by Mancunian beer writer Connor Murphy with the aim of promoting Manchester's beer scene, raising awareness about its rich tradition and modern innovation. The event also aims to champion local businesses by helping them to reach a wider consumer audience.
It is the first festival of its kind in the city and the inaugural event will take place from June 10 to June 19, 2016.
